November 2020, I announced to my friends and colleagues I will move to Midland and start my new journey. All of them, not just some of them, told me, " Girl, you are losing your mind; Midland is an armpit of Texas. I am not going to lie; I was hesitant at that moment. There was so much negative feedback about Midland. However, I thought someone has to get the job done. Therefore, I move forward and get here to Midland, just me and my two dogs. After a few months living here, I realized the city is not that bad, and it has its beauty in many ways, and one of that is the beautiful sunset in West Texas. There was a nice breeze day; I walked my dogs and passed my neighbor, Lisa; I greeted Lisa and her friend JW. "What a beautiful sunset," and she responded, "The sunset here in Midland is the bomb dot com." The ideas crossed my mind. That sounds like a cool name for my blog. Why not? I can start to share my journey here in this beautiful desert, and maybe my blog can appeal to somebody, and they will have a different way to look at Midland. I can also start writing about my passion for water, aviation, people I met, dogs, piano, and of course, food. The majority of what I share here is my personal experience; there is no right or wrong. I welcome all feedback and love to hear your stories too.
